Hello and welcome to Brook Recipes! My name is Florence, a 35-year-old chef, storyteller, and passionate home cook proudly based in the United States — though my roots reach all the way back to Spain.

My journey in the kitchen began long before I ever realized it would become my life’s calling. When I was just six years old, I lost both of my parents. In the midst of that tragedy, I was lovingly raised by my grandparents — two of the kindest, most brilliant people I’ve ever known. They weren’t just my guardians; they were world travelers, seasoned cooks, and my greatest teachers.

From a tiny kitchen filled with the aroma of olive oil and fresh herbs, they showed me how food could connect cultures, comfort the heart, and tell stories words sometimes can’t.

Whether it’s a 3-ingredient meals or a slow-simmered stew in the Instant Pot, I believe in making cooking joyful and accessible to everyone.
